YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!!! It started snowing today. I hate snow. I hate the cold dreary winters that we have here. I wish I lived down south where it's warm. But all my and my husbands family lives here, so here we stay. I hope we won't have a long winter, but if we do, I guess I'll be inside a lot the next couple of weeks. My son has a bad cold and was miserable all day. I felt so bad for him. Poor little guy. And my daughter just got over one. All I can say is "Florida, take me away!!!"

So yesterday we had a great time as a family. We took the kids, (Brooke, Paige , Riley, and Brooke's friend) up North. First we went to this Family owned farm/produce market. They all sorts of fun things to do. Face painting, corn maze, hay fort, haunted house, and much more. Paige and Brooke got their faces painted. Paige had a ball playing in the hay fort with Daddy. And then to finish things off, we all shared some pumpkin pie and carmel apples. Then we continued north to Manistee where we went to our new cottage. The colors were just beginning to come out. It was a beautiful. When we arrived, we spent some time getting things settled, and then Dave took the girls for a walk. When the sun finally went down, Dave and I decided to take some time out in the hottub. It was very relaxing. But the quiet time didn't last for too long. Paige woke up about 1 a.m. and since she was sharing a room with Riley, he began stirring also. Needless to say, this happened about three time during the night, so I wasn't all to anxious to get up this morning. But since we had a two hour drive to church, I decided I had better get up around 8 a.m.
Today was kind of a lazy around the house day. I can't say that I really did a whole lot around here. But hey, what can I say, it is Sunday after all, and God commands a day of rest, right! I spent a little while in the chicken coop (literally). We have ten beautiful hens! I went in there today just basically for some me time, and to get them a little more used to me. I just sat there and observed their every move. I think they were a little wigged out, but they didn't spaz out on me, which is good, cuz it's taken me a while to get used to being so close to them in the first place. Anyway, it was kind of cool. They basically just walked around looking for food, or anything that might resemble food, and peck the ground several times. One of them had a little cough or wheezing problem. I think she probably got too much dust in her throat from all that pecking on the dirt. They've come so far from the cute little chicks we got at Easter. We've literally watched them grow before our eyes. Paige loves them so much, as well as "CHICKEN EGGS". We're getting about 7-10 eggs everyday now. Well, I guess that's all for now. More later....

So here's another day. I was "rudely" awakened to the sounds of my 5 1/2 month old baby boy crying franticly for something to eat. I scooped him up and brought him to my bed as usual and proceded to feed him while I slept a little longer. He decided he would have none of that. He wanted a bottle, and he wanted a bottle NOW!!! So I called down to my husband (who was already up now at 6:15) to make up a bottle for me. It literally was gone in about 1 minute. He sucked it dry and wanted more after that. All I wanted was to go back to bed. I changed him and put him back in his bed and that's where things got screwy. For some odd reason, instead of going back to bed like I wanted to, I got dressed and went down stairs and ate breakfast. Then, I went back to bed, and wouldn't you know it. About 30 seconds after my head hit the pillow I hear, knock, knock, knock.....coming from my 2 year old daughters room. Life is just not fair. I got up and opened her door and quickly, before she could see me, dashed back to my room. She of course followed me, and for the next five minutes she sat on my bed whining "Mommy, I want bubkis (breakfast). I tried to ignor her, but she just wouldn't let up. So finally, after a half hour of torment, I gave in. I got up, served her breakfast, and sat down here for a little me time. She must be done now though, because now she whining again, "Mama me wanna go play!" So I guess I better go. More later.

I'm sitting here hanging out with my lonely self, skimming the web and I come across this new Yahoo 360 thing, so I check it out. It's seems pretty cool, so I sign up for an account. So here I am now writing my first BLOG entry with basically nothing to say except I now think I have a place to vent when no one else is able to lean an ear. Lately, my beautiful, adorable, little girl has been driving to my absolute limit. Anything, and everything I don't want her to do, she of course does. Usually when I'm not at all able to do anything about it. She tests me and tests me and tests me some more. I've said no ten times and am now pretty much screaming at the top of my lungs to stop, when she looks at me and with that "yeah right, whacha gonna do about it"smile, she proceeds to do whatever it is I've said not too. Or like tonight at dinner, I was on my last nerve, because she would not eat her dinner and insisted on mushing it through her fingers instead of putting it in her mouth. I threatened one last time that if she didn't eat, she would have to go to bed. She started whimpering and looked up at me. I knew she could see the look of disgust on my face, when out of her mouth come the words, "Mommy, more poopies coming out!" It totally took me by surprise and everything in me to keep a straight face. I sure hope I can get some type of relief soon. I desperately need a vacation, both with and without my husband!!! And NO KIDS!!!! Well, I guess this is all for now.
